Every Day Actions
That Can
Help Your Business Boom
by Lisa Wilber
Are you actively looking for new customers and recruits
every day? You should! Even if you feel that you have "all you
can handle" at the moment, you need to constantly add new customers
and recruits to your base continually just to stay even! After all,
customers move, customers die, customers change. Recruits leave the
company or change their goals. Always adding new people to both your
customer base and downline is smart business! Here are 3 ways to help
you add people daily:
1. Learn from Laverne!
Have your company name embroidered on every shirt that you own so that
you wear your company logo every day without even thinking about it.
Remember Laverne from the TV show "Laverne and Shirley"? She
had a huge letter "L" on all her shirts. Wearing a logo shirt
can really help attract people to your business. Wherever you go during
your day, expect people to say to you "do you have a catalog with
you?" And some will say "how do you get started with that
company anyway? I've been looking to earn some extra money" You
can find a local company to embroider your shirts by looking in the
yellow pages or visit www.dfembroidery.com.
2. 6 or Bust!
When you leave your house each day to go to work or to do errands, take
six of your company's brochures and recruiting literature with you and
don't come back home until you give them all away to people you meet!
You'll soon find that 6 are too few and you'll increase that amount.
Let me give you an example. You are going grocery shopping - give a
brochure to the employee who greets you at the door, give one to the
person at the Bakery counter, the Seafood counter, the Deli counter.
Give a brochure to the person in front of you in line at the cash register,
the person behind you in line and the cashier. Give another brochure
to the person who bags your groceries. Be sure to visit the rest room
at the grocery store and leave your brochure! Stick a couple business
cards in the frame of the mirror! Don't think of it as being *pushy*
-- you are just letting people know what you do. Never, never launch
into a presentation -- you are simply trying to get your information
in as many hands as possible. I like to hand the brochure and simply
say "I brought this for you!"
3. Pin on a Promo!
Attach a promotional button or piece of jewelry to your shirt, jacket
or purse strap and you'll get that all important exposure for your company
and products. There are many companies that sell promotional buttons
and pins - here are a few:
* www.glitzetal.com
1-800-487-0732
Featuring many product oriented jewelry pieces including
"I do makeovers" and custom rhinestone pins.
* www.winnerinyou.com
1-800-258-1815
Featuring 3" buttons such as "I specialize in
Fundraisers" and "Look Younger Now Ask Me How"
* www.littlethingsinc.com
1-800-727-4595
Featuring promotional jewelry including rhinestone pins featuring many
company names.
* www.thebooster.com
1-800-553-6692
Featuring 2 1/4" buttons such as "Refer Your
Friends to Me & Earn Some Free" and "I'm WILD about jewelry,
ask me why!"
* www.buttonguy.com
1-800-579-6675
Featuring many company specific buttons for Avon, Mary
Kay, Herbalife and more. Custom button service available.
If you take advantage of your company's multi-level marketing
program, be sure to share these resources with your downline members
so they can also be adding customers and recruits every day.

Debunking the Top
Ten
Internet Home Business Myths
(c) Copyright 2003, Angela Wu
Spend a few days online and you'd think that the Internet
is a community of multi-millionaires. Everyone seems to be making $10,000
each and every month using a simple, guaranteed system that requires
virtually no work on your part ... and they're all kind enough to want
to share it with you.
Every day we're bombarded with offers that claim we can
make money quickly and easily on the Internet, often with a 'proven'
system that 'guarantees' success. Unfortunately it's not as simple as
some might have you believe. Here's the truth behind 10 common myths
about building a business on the Internet:
MYTH #1: It's Easy... Everyone's
Doing It.
Sure, lots of people have tried to start a business online.
But how many of them actually *stick* with it and earn a reasonable
profit? It's not uncommon to see estimates that 85-95% of all Internet
businesses fail within the first year.
An online business is still a business. It might be more
affordable to start than a traditional brick-and-mortar' business, but
online business has its own set of challenges.
MYTH #2: You Only Have to Work
a Couple of Hours a Day.
How many business owners do you know that work only a
couple of hours a day, especially then first starting out? There is
plenty to learn about building a long-term profitable business online.
Long hours and hard work are required for ANY type of business -- even
on the Internet.
MYTH #3: Build A Website and
the Masses Will Come.
Consider this: there are literally billions of web pages available on
the Internet. Your tiny little website has to somehow stand out from
the rest. This is no easy task! It's essential for every Internet business
owner to learn how to effectively promote his or her site to attract
the *right* people -- not just the curious who might browse and leave,
but those who have an inherent interest in your products and services.
MYTH #4: I Can Do It For Free!
Again, an Internet business is still a business -- and
every business requires an investment. Marketing can be significantly
cheaper online, but not everything can be done without cost. Even the
very basics such as registering a domain and hosting your site are costs
you have to pay every year.
MYTH #5: It's Fast.
Success isn't built overnight. Anyone can create a web page and open
up a website for business... but it takes time to learn how to attract
visitors to the site and then convert them into paying customers.
MYTH #6: It's Perfect Because
I Never Have to Deal With People.
Email is undoubtedly a convenient tool, but as easy as it is to forget,
email messages are still written by people. You cannot shield yourself
from interaction with real people. Even if you do most of your business
via email, there will be times when it's more appropriate to speak to
someone over the phone or even face-to-face.
MYTH #7: I'll Have Lots of Free
Time and Flexibility.
You might... after you've put in the time and effort to
build your online business to the point where you don't have to monitor
it constantly. Realistically, this can take *years*. Until then you'll
be doing what most start-up businesses are doing: learning to build
profits and putting in long hours.
MYTH #8: I'll Make Money While
I Sleep.
Certainly you can -- but again, not until your online business is receiving
a steady stream of targeted traffic and paying customers, and you've
learned how to automate the appropriate parts of your business. Even
the most beautiful site with the most incredible products is utterly
useless unless people can find it.
MYTH #9: I Just Have to Follow
a Guaranteed 'System' to Become Successful.
There's no such thing as a 'guarantee' for success. The
very best information in the world won't do any good unless it's put
to use! We're all individuals with our own skills, experiences, and
interests. No 'system' can account for all these differences.
MYTH #10: I'll Make My Fortune
On the Internet.
Perhaps you will. Are you willing to put forth the effort?

5 Powerful Article
Writing Tips
© 2003 Terri Seymour
Writing articles is one of the most powerful, if not
the most powerful methods of building your reputation and your online
business. Not only do you get unlimited exposure, but it is free as
well!
If your article is well-written, you will probably get
listed on numerous websites as well as in several ezines. This will
establish you as someone who knows what they are talking about and
will more than likely bring you many visitors and subscribers. People
will start to come to you when they need information or products or
advice. This is a great way of establishing your online presence.
Writing articles is not as hard as you may think. You
do not have to be a professional writer to produce an effective article.
Below are some tips to help you get started.
1. Don't worry about big fancy words.
People are looking for easy to understand, down-to-earth articles
to help them learn. They are not interested in being impressed with
encyclopedia language skills.
2. Advertise in your resource box, not the
article.
Do not use you article as a big sales letter for a product or program.
Give your info in the resource box. I would recommend you just try
to get people to sign up for your newsletter or free report/ecourse
in your resource box. Save the selling for later.
3. Make yourself accessible if someone wants
to get in touch with you.
People want to know that they can get in touch with you if they have
questions about your article, website, etc. Always make it easy for
them to find you.
4. Provide basic, real, useful information
as well as resources to go along with the info.
When writing your article, try to list some useful resources that
your readers can utilize along with the information you give them.
This will further give people a reason to want to stay in touch with
you or your website.
5. Write from the
heart!
Do not be afraid to let your personality shine through in your writing.
This will make people more apt to trust you and will also make them
more comfortable. Write as if you were talking to a friend and let
the real you shine through. I think people appreciate this more than
trying to sound like something you are not!
Do not let your doubts stop you from writing articles to build your
reputation and your business. I did for awhile, but then took the
plunge. My first article did surprisingly well and yours can as well!

Women POWER In INTERNET
Network Marketing
Copyright © 2003 by Sue Seward. All Rights Reserved.
Network Marketing is definitely an ideal career choice
for any woman who has the desire, the right attitude, and understands
what it's really all about and what it takes to become the best you
can be!
Women are caretakers and are well suited to Network Marketing
because of their caring nature.
This is in no way of course an offense to all the great
men out there! We love you and in fact, we take care of YOU too don't
we? <smile>
My advice to all the men would be to get out there and
team up some "powerful women" and I'm not talking about being
their UPLINE, I'm talking about being their EQUAL!
Working together to become very powerful can benefit a
lot of people!
Network Marketing is about people which means it's a relationship
building business and women are naturals at building strong long lasting
relationships.
Women really listen to what a person is saying and emphasizes
with where every person is coming from. We understand when a person
says they are happy where they are and when they are not.
Women understand about timing in a person's life and the
importance of not trying to plug someone into something they are simply
not ready for OR they are not interested in.
When everyone realizes this about Network Marketing and
they begin to become concerned with another persons real needs they
have the ability to become the best they can be in life.
The benefits for women in Network Marketing are unlimited!
A woman with no degrees, no corporate background, no experience,
a Mom who has chosen to stay home to raise her children, is able to
reach whatever level of financial achievement she chooses to and in
the time frame that it takes according to her own personal goals.
There are no glass ceilings for women in Network Marketing,
no competition with anyone other than ourselves.
There is absolutely nothing to hold a woman back except
herself! Network Marketing is a wonderful gift for all people, especially
women.
One of the really best things about Network Marketing
is the marvelous opportunity women have to develop their self confidence.
This is probably the # ONE benefit for a woman choosing a career in
Network Marketing whether it's part-time or she chooses to take it to
a full time level depending on her time constraints.
There is powerful self development opportunities for women
in Network Marketing. When a woman grows and learns her power increases
and endless possibilities begin to open up for her to help even more
people that come in her life!
Network Marketing is in it's infancy! It's just reaching
momentum. Especially now with the INTERNET!
Women have a wonderful chance for advancement in so many
areas of their life. When a women can put the power of the Internet
together with the power of networking she can leverage her time and
time for most women is scarce and precious!
The Internet can help put women in a favorable position
to achieve financial and time freedom to do important things in life
such as caring for her children, her household, her parents and others
that need her the most!
Working from home on the Internet is perfect for women!
This way they can work at home in their jammies with their hair stickin
out and not have to worry about dressing up and packing up the car to
go out to do a party show that keeps them out late at night, or rush
to a hotel meeting, all things that take precious time away from their
family!
They can decide their own hours and work right from their
home office and build a strong network that could even expand to other
women all around the globe!
This would allow them to contribute financially to their
families while not having to go to work outside the home and in a lot
of cases depending on their own personal financial goals they will even
be able to free up their spouses from THEIR jobs thus allowing them
more time together as a family.
Even for women who do work a full time job outside the
home, she could start a part time business in her home from the Internet
that would fit nicely into her own time schedule and she would have
some nice tax benefits to boot!
As long as a woman has a solid purpose and an important
"why" for doing what she's doing and she makes a strong commitment
to stick with it for as long as it takes, she can succeed in Network
Marketing on the Internet.
Remember Network Marketing is all about building relationships
and women are exceptional at doing this, even on the Internet when meeting
people that we don't know yet. We GET to know them! It's why we're so
good at what we do! <smile>
All women, no matter what age, what job status, who have
the desire to achieve powerful dreams of financial independence and
time freedom, seriously consider a career in Network Marketing as the
vehicle to reach your own personal goals!
As a woman when you succeed in developing yourself in
Network Marketing all the people in your life, including YOU, will benefit!
