10 Ways To Jumpstart Your Business This Month!

If your business has been a little sluggish lately, here's some ideas to help you get back into action FAST!

    1. Talk to at least one new person about your business every day.

    2. Set a goal to sponsor at least 2 new distributors into your group this month.

    3. Collect quotes that inspire you and refer to them when you are discouraged.

    4. Work with the business builders in your downline. Find out what their goals are and help them determine the best way for them to meet those goals.

    5. Keep in touch with your downline. Call, write, fax or e-mail them at least once a month!

    6. Join a business networking group and get involved.

    7. Wear something every day that’s a conversation starter; a unique pin or some crazy earrings. This helps break the ice and gets people to start talking to you.

    8. Know what you want from your business and decide what success means to you. Make a commitment to your business and write it down. Set goals that really challenge you. Set daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals. Make a dream collage, a visual wish list. Cut out pictures from old magazines of things you’d like to have, places you’d like to go, and the lifestyle you’d like to have. Paste all the pictures on some poster board and put it where you can look at it every day to remind you what your goals are and why you are in your network marketing business.

    9. Always have plenty of tapes, sales literature, samples, etc. with you at all times. You never know where you’ll meet you next best customer!

    10. Never, never, never give up.

    Using Tag Teams to
    Build Your Business Online

    By Colleen Mandato

Tag Teams are the 90’s version of the three way call. This unique system uses e-mail to show prospects the ease and power of online marketing and gives them access to other people online that are working a particular MLM.

    Here’s how it works:

    1. You place ads in/on the various on-line services, newsgroups, BBS’s, etc. (for your MLM).

    2. Once you receive a response/lead, you e-mail that person back with your follow-up information. For example, let’s say Jane Smith is your lead and she’s interested in your MLM.

    3. You then e-mail the members of your tag team (your upline, downline or other friends also in the program) with Jane’s e-mail address and request they tag Jane about the ABC company. (Make sure everyone in your tag team understands the process, and agrees to the rule that no one steals a lead from another tag team member. If anyone steals leads, do NOT invite them back..Period.)

Example: Hi tag team members. This is Sue Jones, and I’ve got this lead from CompuServe. She’s interested in the ABC company. Please tell her what a great program this is.

Note: Make sure you state which program you want the members to tag. This is a MUST. If you don’t, you’ll confuse a lot of people and slow down the process.

    Creating Your Own Tag Response

Here’s an example: Hi, My name is Sue Jones and I’ve been a part of the ABC company for a few weeks now..and let me tell you! This program is awesome!! The products are great, the compensation plan is excellent and our unique online tag team has helped place several members in my downline, etc.

Here’s some rules and regulations to set for your tag team group:

    1. DO NOT send information on other programs to leads that are not yours.

    2. Try to contact the group tag members only once a day (i.e., save all your leads and e-mail the members just once. Don’t send 1 lead at 10 a.m. and then 2 more at 2 p.m. and then 9 at 7 p.m.). Remember that the members of the tag group are busy too and if you keep annoying them with repeated requests, there’s a good chance your tags won’t get sent.

    3. Select a small core group of people to do tags with. Involve your upline and your downline as much as possible, but crossline friends make great taggers, too!

Frequently Asked Questions About Tag Teams

Since tag teaming is a new concept, people often have questions about how it works. Here’s some answers to frequently asked questions:

How do I request a tag for a prospect?

The best way to request a tag is to form a tag team group. The group could include people in your upline, downline or crossline that you respect -- you agree to tag for them, they agree to tag for you. I suggest a group of 6. This way you can figure on about 4 timely tags.

What should I tell the prospect before I request a tag?

I mention that they will be hearing from a few of my associates about the products, company and online support they can expect if they join our group. I also mention that this provides them with a more well rounded view of the program. Everyone who is seriously interested in finding out more about a company can appreciate that.

How many people will send an e-mail?

Depends on how many folks you ask! Don’t ask too many though - you don’t want to have your prospect feel they are being badgered.

    What’s typically in that e-mail?

Anything positive! The idea is for INDIVIDUALSto present their own views so that the likelihood of the prospect identifying and feeling comfortable with at least one member of the team increases.

How soon will the prospect be tagged?

Usually within 24 hours, but sometimes it takes longer. Most taggers will put your e-mail address in the CC box (copy to), so you know who has tagged and what was said.

How do prospects feel about being tagged?

Here’s a message I received from a prospect about the process: “I see the Tag Team approach in action and am delighted to get these messages. It addresses the fundamental anxiety that naturally arises when we put ourselves in the inquiring and receiving position.

The Tag Team approach dispels a good part of that anxiety and makes one feel supported by the accumulated experience of an already functioning group.”

So what are you waiting for? Get your tag team together and start gathering those leads!!!

THE L.U.C.K. PRINCIPLE

All seasons help us to recognize nature’s beauty and abundance, but spring is truly the most remarkable of all the seasons. After the rest of winter, we see signs of life all around us; the tender sprigs of green grass emerging from the cool soil beneath our feet, buds bursting forth from the tiniest blossom to the mighty oak and all of wildlife is introducing their new generations. The days are getting longer as the sun warms the earth.

And so it is with many of us and our business endeavors. We may be in the spring of our business and we are filled with energy and hope as we prepare for our spring planting season. Many elements will be out of our control, but with diligence and L.U.C.K. we will experience growth and prosperity. I believe we may create our own good fortune and that is what I call the L.U.C.K. Principle.

L   Like what you are doing; your enthusiasm will spread to others.

U   Understand the concept of duplication and teach it to people in your organization. Duplication is what sets our industry apart from all others and makes it so exciting.

C   Care for your new ‘family’ by providing support and encouragement. Schedule regular contact with your downline and have a sincere interest in their success. Be available to answer questions and, if you do not have an answer, let them know you will get back with a response and then follow through.

K   Know your company and your product(s). Continue to learn because knowledge and information will empower you and lead you to new heights.

For women, network marketing is a natural for we have been blessed with the virtues of patience and perseverance. As we begin our new season of growth, we will use our natural abilities, but if we throw in a little L.U.C.K., we may be ensured a bountiful harvest. Good L.U.C.K. to all.
